Our Vision
Education of the under-privileged - Towards a more empowered India
From Sanskrit roots meaning "effort" and "endeavor" - Prachesta embodies the relentless pursuit of a noble cause. Born from the belief that every sincere effort, no matter how small, creates ripples of transformation that can change the world.
When six working professionals came together in 2017, they carried more than just a vision—they carried Prachesta, the unwavering commitment to turn possibility into reality. In education, they found their calling. In every underprivileged child, they saw infinite potential waiting to bloom.

We work tirelessly to protect disadvantaged children from exploitation, abuse, and neglect by raising awareness, and providing support to help them thrive in a safe environment.
We support the creation and maintenance of schools, libraries, sanitation, and other essential facilities in rural regions. Education thrives when students learn in a safe and supportive environment.
In rural and tribal communities, we find and develop unexplored talents in sports, the arts, and culture. Giving them a stage on which to shine and proudly preserve their heritage is our aim.
Our goal is to improve health outcomes in underdeveloped regions through initiatives like awareness campaigns. Our efforts guarantee that those most in need of basic healthcare receive it.
Daughter of a cycle rickshaw repair mechanic from West Bengal, Ankita is now in her final year of nursing graduation.
Eldest of three children of a petrol pump attendant, Aman completed Marine Engineering in Chennai and recently joined employment.

Prachesta is doing a wonderful job in bringing smiles and hope to orphaned children. By providing school books, stationery, and medical check-ups, they make sure the children feel cared for and supported in their journey. It was one of my childhood friend who first introduced me to the incredible work of Prachesta. Had he not spoken to me—and to a few of our other friends—we might never have known about this vast initiative, let alone become part of it. Living in and around Kolkata, we were far removed from the tireless efforts Prochesta carries out in Mumbai. There are two ways to be part of a noble cause: directly or indirectly. I’ve had the privilege of joining indirectly, and now I feel that if someday I get the chance to contribute directly, it would be nothing short of wonderful. Every chapter of Prachesta’s journey reaches me through WhatsApp. And each time, I feel a surge of joy—not the distant kind, but a joy that feels deeply personal and immediate. I firmly believe that Prachesta’s mission will continue to blossom, touching lives not just in passing, but shaping them with beauty and purpose. May Prochesta triumph, thrive, and march ever forward—this is my earnest prayer to the Almighty and to all those guided by wisdom and goodwill.
I am honoured to be a part of Prachesta group which is continuously thriving for the betterment of needy pupil for their education, health check up and counselling. I wish Prachesta will continue to do these activities and by this way we can return a very small to the society.
I had the opportunity to support Prachesta recently, and I am impressed by the organization’s thoughtful approach to community upliftment. I had the privilege to get associated with Prachesta in 2018 and have seen the activities of the Trust closely. Involved in the much needed financial support in education of underprivileged children, the trustees are a unique combination of highly qualified professionals who take time out of their own commitments to ensure that the identified children continue to get their education. Alongside the primary objective of the trust, the trustees have taken up an ambitious work of overall development and care of children from slums. Being professionally employed themselves, the trustees manage the activities with very low administrative expenses. The trustees have strived to drive individual and institutional financial contributions to continue the noble work of the Trust to make the dreams of underprivileged children come true. I wish that the activity of the Trust grows further so that more children get the required support.
